Heard learned counsel for the parties. 2. The present writ petitions have been filed for award of compensation to the petitioners in lieu of insurance for the damages of Kharif Crop for the year 2020. 3. Briefly the facts noted are that the petitioners are agriculturists of Patwar Halka, Kamediya. The petitioners paid premium for the Kharif crop of 2020 through Central Cooperative Bank, Nagaur. The concerned bank accepted the requisite documents along with the details filled in by the petitioners. However, while processing the case for payment of compensation, in place of village Kamediya, the name of the village was wrongly filled as Kherat, therefore, the petitioners were not paid the compensation for the damages of his crop. The petitioners are claiming compensation under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, 2020. When claim of the petitioners were not paid, they

filed an application before the bank for payment of compensation. On this application, the officials of the bank informed that by an inadvertent mistake, the name of the village was wrongly shown as Kherat and necessary corrective measures are being taken by the bank. In furtherance of the same, the correct details and information was sent to the committee constituted by the Central Government comprising of representative of the State Government for making necessary corrections in the record and for award of compensation to the petitioners. The corrected information has been placed on record in the form of Annexure-6. Despite corrective measures having been taken by the bank, the committee constituted for the purpose has not decided the claim of the petitioners till date. In the circumstances, the petitioners have preferred the present writ petitions praying that the Committee constituted may be directed to decide the case of the petitioners for award of compensation as per the information submitted by the bank for correction of the mistake committed by the bank at the earliest.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents are not in a position to refute the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of Union of India assures this Court that the committee will decide the claim case of the petitioners at the earliest, strictly in accordance with law.

In view of the submissions made, the present writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respondents Nos.1 & 2 to decide the pending claim case of the petitioners for grant of

compensation for the damages of Kharif Crop for the year 2020 at the earliest preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law.

Needless to say that the documents supplied by the petitioners and the bank for correcting the clerical mistake committed by the bank shall be taken into account by the Committee for deciding the claim case of the petitioners.

The stay applications also stand disposed of accordingly.
