The present writ petition has been preferred with a sole prayer to direct the Additional District Judge No.1, Nagaur for expeditious disposal of the reference application No.2/2020 pending before him.

The facts are that qua acquisition in pursuance to the notification dated 15.09.2015, a reference was made to the Court aforementioned. Alongwith the reference application, a cheque qua the award of compensation amount was deposited with the Court.

The petitioners therefore, moved an application for release of the said amount as the decision of the reference application would take time. However, the learned Trial Court proceeded on to reject the said application and observed that the amount could be released only after decision of the reference application.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that as of date, neither the amount has been paid to the petitioners whose land had been acquired nor the reference application has been decided, the same being pending since more than three and a half years.

In view of the above facts, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Additional District Judge No.1, Nagaur to expedite the proceedings pertaining to the reference application No.2/2020 pending before him and decide the same expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from now. 6. Stay application and all pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of .
