written report dated 23.09.2019 made by the complainant Ramgopal Sharma, an allegation has been levelled against the petitioner that petitioner made a demand of Rs.20,000/- through mediator Shri Kajodmal Meena, who happens to be the previous Contractor in the Electricity Department. It has been stated in the complaint that such demand was raised to release the agriculture electric connection for which wife of complainant has moved application on 26.11.2018 and the requisite fee has been deposited.

exercise its inherent powers under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the impugned FIR. There is a clear allegation in the FIR and revealed after the preliminary inquiry that petitioner being a public servant (posted as Assistant Engineer in Discom Thanagazi) made a demand of bribe of Rs.20,000/- through the Contractor and Mediator Mr. Kajod Mal Meena in respect of releasing the electric connection to the complainant on his agriculture field i.e. to perform his part of public duties. Therefore, the prayer to quash the impugned FIR is rejected.
