Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the relief sought by the petitioner can not be granted at this belated stage. I am also of the view that even if his claim is

worthy of acceptance on merits, no indulgence can be granted since, concedingly, the academic session of BAMS course 2022-23 to which admission has been sought by the petitioner, commenced some time in April 2022. Ever since then 10 months of the academic period is over. The clock can not be turned back for the petitioner. It is impossible to undergo entire academic session in short period of few months left until final examination for the said academic session takes place.

Confronted with the aforesaid observation of this Court, leaned counsel for the petitioner states that it is still discretion of the University to grant admission at this belated stage.

However, learned counsel appearing for the respondentUniversity strenuously opposes the aforesaid submission. He states that the University can not exercise such discretion as per calendar of the academic session, which has to be strictly followed.

Being so, no indulgence or relief can be granted in the matter. The petitioner has liberty to compete for the next academic session by taking up entrance test as and when the same is advertised.

The petition stands dismissed.
