Inviting attention of this Court towards the appointment order dated 12.07.2021 (Annexure-R/1) and the order dated

(2 of 2) [CCP-226/2020]

16.11.2021 (Annexure-R/2), learned counsel for the respondents submits that after subjecting the petitioners to PST/PET, while the petitioner No.1 was found eligible and was appointed as Constable, the petitioner No.2 was found ineligible on account of his acquittal in a criminal case extending him benefit of doubt. He, therefore, prays for dismissal of the contempt petition.

None for the petitioners even in second round. None appeared on their behalf on last two occasions also, i.e., 24.02.2023 & 02.03.2023.

This Court has, vide its order dated 24.10.2018, contempt whereof is alleged, directed the respondents to hold fresh PET/PST qua the petitioners and to consider them for appointment if they qualify in the PET/PST and find place in the order of merit. A perusal of the orders dated 12.07.2021 & 16.11.2021 reveals that there has been substantial compliance of the order dated 24.10.2018, contempt whereof is alleged.

In view thereof, this contempt petition is dismissed.
