The petitioners by way of filing Public Interest Litigation raised the grievances that the encroachments on the pasture land situated in Village Loharki, Tehsil Pokaran, District Jaisalmer have been made by some villagers.

This Court by an order dated 25.11.2021 directed petitioners to submit representation before the PLPC concerned and the PLPC was directed to decide the representation regarding encroachment made over the pasture land.

The issue which is raised in this contempt petition is regarding non-removal of encroachments from the pasture land in Village Loharki, Tehsil Pokaran, District Jaisalmer.

Shri Sunil Beniwal, learned AAG has filed a compliance report indicating that the proceedings under Section 91 of Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 have been initiated against certain villagers who have made encroachments over the pasture land. The proceedings are pending before the Tehsildar, Pokaran. Learned counsel submitted that sincere efforts are being made to ensure compliance of the order dated 25.11.2021 passed by this Court.

In view of above development, we feel that respondents have purged the contempt. Accordingly, contempt proceedings are disposed of. Rule is discharged.
