The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for direction to issue/grant patta in favour of the petitioners while regularizing their possession.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had applied for regularization of their possession way back on 25.07.2020 but the application remains undecided till date.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioners’ possession is not entitled to be regularized because they are encroachers on the land. Be that as it may.
It is an admitted fact on record that the application as preferred by the petitioners has not been decided by the respondent authorities till date. Therefore, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to decide the application (Annex.6) as preferred by the petitioners within a period of four weeks from now in accordance with law.
It is made clear that the present order is not on merits of the case and the respondent authorities would be at liberty to decide the same in accordance with law.
Stay petition and all the pending applications also stand disposed of.
