Learned Advocate General Shri M.S. Singhvi appearing on behalf of the respondents makes a statement that the impugned demand is being withdrawn for recomputation and issuance of the demand afresh (if necessary), therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition.
Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
Needless to say that, if fresh demand is raised against the petitioner, he will be free to take recourse against the said demand under the law.
