By way of this writ petition in the nature of Public Interest Litigation, the petitioner herein has approached this Court with the following prayer:

“It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that this writ petition may kindly be allowed and by an appropriate writ, order or direction the respondents may kindly be directed to not to connect the Goyali Nadi situated in Village Jayal with any Nalla carrying the sewerage water. A direction may further be issued to the respondents to protect and preserve the Goyal Nadi situated in Khasra No.1631 and 1630 in village Jayal.

Any other relief to which all the petitioners and villagers appears entitle to may kindly also be passed in favor of protection and preservation of said Goyali Nadi”

Shri Purohit, learned counsel representing the petitioner, contends that before approaching this Court, the petitioner has already submitted representations to the concerned authorities i.e. SDM, Jayal, District Collector, Nagaur and Divisional Commissioner, Ajmer but till date, no response has been made to such representations of the petitioner.

Having heard and considered the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner, it is hereby directed that the District Collector, Nagaur, shall objectively consider the representation so made by the petitioner and communicate the decision thereof to him by a reasoned order within a period of eight weeks from the date of submission of copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of in these terms.
