This writ petition is filed by the petitioner essentially being aggrieved with the order dated 30.12.2019 passed by the Collector (Stamps) Ajmer, whereby a demand of Rs.2,94,35,36,392/- has been raised pursuant to the notification issued by the State Government dated 14.07.2014. Now, the

State Government has come up with a plea that the demand raised vide order dated 27.09.2019 has been reduced to an amount of Rs.1,40,65,284/- (Rupees One Crore Forty Lakh Sixty Five Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Four Only). It is also asserted that the notification dated 14.07.2014 has also been rescinded and a new notification has been issued on 24th February 2021.
In view of the subsequent developments, learned counsel for the State has no objection if the order dated 27.09.2019 is quashed.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to pay the amount of Rs.1,40,65,284/- (Rupees One Crore Forty Lakh Sixty Five Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Four Only) within a period of ten days to the respondents.
In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of while quashing the order dated 27.09.2019, however, the petitioner is directed to pay the amount of Rs.1,40,65,284/- (Rupees One Crore Forty Lakh Sixty Five Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Four Only) to the respondents within a period of ten days from today.
It is made clear that if the petitioner fails to pay the fresh demand as directed above, the respondents are free to proceed in accordance with law.
Stay petition also stands disposed of.
