petitioners would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to pay them wages/salary in terms of judgment in State of Punjab & Ors. Vs. Jagjit Singh & Ors.: (2017) 1 SCC 148.
In view of the submissions made, the petition filed by the petitioners is disposed of.
The petitioners may make a representation in this regard with reference to the judgment in the case of Jagjit Singh (Supra). It is expected of the respondents to deal with the same appropriately and in case the petitioners are entitled, grant them relief as prayed.
Needful may be done within a period of six weeks from the date the representation is made by the petitioners.
