This Public Interest Litigation has been filed by the petitioner seeking appropriate direction to the authority to remove encroachments made on public land, pasture land in the village of Village Beelka, Tehsil Ramgarh Pachwara, District Dausa.

From the contents of the petition it is revealed that some of the villagers have filed their representations before different authorities alleging encroachments. These representations have been made in the month of August, 2021 and onwards. The allegation is that no action is being taken under the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 under which, when a complaint is made to the Revenue Authority it is enjoined to hold inquiry.

We have also noticed that this Court earlier issued a direction for constitution of committee at the District Level to examine the complaints with regard to the encroachments.

Taking into consideration above, we are inclined to dispose off this Public Interest Litigation petition in terms of the order passed in Jagdish Prasad Meena & Others Vs. State of Rajasthan & Others, D.B. Civil Writ Petition (PIL) No. 10819/2018 by directing that the complaints filed by the petitioners be forwarded by respondent No.2-District Collector, Dausa to the Committee and the Committee shall look into the complaints and take necessary action as directed earlier by this Court vide order dated 30.01.2019 in the above case. The proceedings shall be concluded as early as possible preferably within four weeks.
