This writ petition has been filed seeking quashment of the order dated 15.10.2018 passed by the Deputy Registrar of Copyrights, Government of India in Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Section 72 of the Copyright Act, 1957 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) provides remedy of statutory appeal against the order passed by the Registrar of copyrights.
Learned counsel for the petitioner failed to satisfy this Court as to why this writ petition should be entertained against the impugned order dated 15.10.2018 in the wake of availability of

efficacious alternate remedy of statutory appeal under Section 72 of the Act of 1957.
Resultantly, this writ petition is dismissed on account of availability of efficacious alternate remedy of statutory appeal to the petitioner.
