Petitioner/complainant has preferred this misc. petition seeking quashing of FIR No.161/2020, registered at Police Station Malviya Nagar, Jaipur (East), District Jaipur.

It is contended by counsel for the petitioner/complainant that petitioner/complainant and accused-non-petitioner have entered into a compromise and solemnized their marriage on 23.06.2020. The compromise duly signed by the parties is annexed with the petition as Annexure-3. The certificate of registration of marriage is also annexed with the petition. It is

contended that complainant does not wish to proceed further in the FIR, therefore, FIR may be quashed.

Counsel for the accused-non-petitioner has no objection in the quashing of FIR.

I have considered the contentions.

In view of the facts that petitioner has solemnized marriage with accused-non-petitioner, which is established by certificate of registration of marriage as well as compromise (Annexure-3) and complainant does not wish to proceed further in the FIR, misc. petition is allowed.
