Petitioner has preferred this misc. petition seeking quashing of the FIR No.80/2015 and subsequent proceedings.

It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that Police has submitted charge-sheet against the petitioner. Complainant has no objection to the quashing of the FIR and further proceedings.

Learned counsel for the complainant and complainant are present in the Court and have not objected to the quashing of the proceedings.

I have considered the contentions.

Police submitted charge-sheet against the petitioner way back in 2015 and charges have also been framed against the petitioner. The matter pertains to submitting of forged documents to contest the election, hence the offence is committed against the State and even if the complainant has compromised the matter with the accused, proceedings pending before the Court below cannot be quashed.

Accordingly, the misc. petition is dismissed. Stay application stands disposed.
