Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No.277/2017 registered at Police Station Anti Corruption Bureau, Jaipur Chowki, Kota for offence under Sections 7, 8, 10, 13(1)(D) and 13(2) of The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Section 120-B of Indian Penal Code, 1860.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was not apprehended at the spot nor any recovery has been effected from him. Petitioner has been falsely involved in this case.
Learned State counsel has opposed the petition and has submitted that the petitioner was working as Inspector Transport Department. Petitioner and his co-accused in connivance with each other were receiving money from the truck drivers by putting

them under fear that they would be challaned on account of some deficiency. In this regard, conversations between different accused have been taken into possession.
Keeping in view the seriousness of allegations levelled against the petitioner, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail to him is made out.
