Appellant has filed this appeal challenging the award dated 3.2.2018 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, seeking enhancement of compensation amount.

Learned c:ounsel for the appellant has submitted that .the appellant has suffered permanent physical disability to the extent

of 12.5%. The compensation amount granted by the Tribunal is on a lower side and required enhancement.

'Learned counsel for respondent No.1 has opposed the appeal. No doctor has been examiiled to prove the disability suffered by the appellant.

It has been observed by the Board of doctors that the appellant would have difficulty in walking and sitting in squatting position.

Thus, the appellant would be entitled to receive compensation /is-3-vis 12.5% disability suffered by him to the tune of Rs.3,510/X 12 X 16 X 12.5% = Rs.84,240/-. Appellant

would be further entitled to receive an addition of 4O0/0 of the said amount towards loss of his future prospects and the said amount comes to Rs.33,696/-. Appellant would be further entitled to receive Rs.21,478/- with regard to the amount spent by him on his treatment, as per the medical bills proved on record. Appellant would be further entitled to receive Rs. 10,000/towards transportation expenses and Rs. 10,000/- towards special diet etc. a,N &sa,*v--, as he has underg:o@& 3-,operat1dns~+$eIlant had remained tar"&, fl "a, % sw kc. . * &. admitted in the x hospital for 11 days.
