This is a contempt petition alleging non-compliance of the order dated 05.10.2012 in Special Appeal (Writ) No.1078/2012.

Learned counsel for petitioners submitted that while the arrears have been paid to the petitioners but the respondents have not paid interest thereon. Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that direction in the judgment of the Division Bench dated 05.10.2012 was only for payment of arrears and no specific direction for payment of interest was given.

It is informed that initially Special Leave Petition was filed against the said Division Bench judgment but that SLP was dismissed by the Supreme Court by order dated 29.01.2015 and now the respondents have fully complied with the order.

Having regard to the nature of directions contained in the order dated 05.10.2012, we are satisfied that the compliance thereof has been made. The contempt petition is accordingly dismissed. The notices so issued stand discharged.
