This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking direction for the District Judge, Bikaner to decide the election petition filed on behalf of the petitioner for cancellation of election for the post of Member of Municipal Board, Nokha for Ward No.12 expeditiously.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the election petition was filed way back in the year 2015, however, till date no substantial progress has been made in the trial of the election petition.
After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and after going through the relevant order-sheets, I am of the opinion that earlier the trial of election petition was conducted by the Additional District Judge No.2, however, the same has now been transferred to the District Judge on 03.12.2016, thereafter, no substantial progress is made in this election petition.

Hence, this writ petition is disposed of with this expectation that the District Judge, Bikaner shall expedite the trial of the election petition and will make every effort to decide the same at the earliest.
Stay petition also stands dismissed.
