Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 challenging the order dated 3.1.2017 whereby, prayer made by the petitioner for conversion of non-bailable warrants of arrest to bailable warrants, was dismissed.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record available on the file carefully.
In the present case, petitioner was facing trial under Section 379 Indian Penal Code, 1860. Petitioner jumped bail during trial on 4.3.1994. Consequently, non-bailable warrants of arrest were issued to secure the presence of the petitioner. Petitioner has been absconding for the last about twenty three years.
Hence, no ground for interference is made out.
Dismissed.
