Learned counsel for respondents has shown a letter written by petitioner for withdrawal of writ petition if he is considered sympathetically for promotion.
It is stated that petitioner was subsequently considered and given promotion and retired. In view of the above, writ petition may be disposed of.
I have considered the submissions made and find that petitioner wrote a letter to the respondents for withdrawal of the writ petition in case he is considered sympathetically and affidavit was also given. The petitioner was thereafter promoted vide order dated 29.07.2010 and retired. The documents aforesaid are taken on record and in view of the aforesaid development, writ petition has become infructuous and is accordingly dismissed.
