By this petition for writ a challenge is given to various amendments introduced in Rajasthan Service Rules, 1970 under a notification No.F.1(1)DOP/A-II/85 dated 1.4.1998. The petitioner has also claimed for grant of selection grades to its members on completion of 9, 18 and 27 years of service without imposing any rider on the grant of pay scales irrespective of the pay scales availed by them from time to time. Counsel for the petitioner states that the relief regarding extension of selection grades without any rider on the grant of pay scales irrespective of the pay scales availed by the members of the Rajasthan Education Service has already been extended and as such the relief claimed in this regard has rendered infructuous. With regard to challenge to the amendment sought to be introduced under the notification dated 1.4.1998 it is stated by learned counsel for the respondents that effect to the amendments impugned has not been given.
In view of the statement aforesaid learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not want to press this petition for writ. Dismissed accordingly.
