The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 17.08.2026 (Annexure P-6) in the light of his subsequent acquittal by the learned Trial Court and denial of an effective opportunity of defence during the departmental proceedings, with consequential reliefs including reinstatement and other service benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant petition has been rendered infructuous and the same may be disposed of as such.
