Through the instant petition, c ast under Article 226/227 of t h e Constitutio n of India, a prayer is made of i s suance of a writ, in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents, to c o nsider the case of the petitio n er under the ‘ O ld Pension Scheme’ (OPS) inst e ad of ‘New Defined Contributory Pension Sc h eme’ (NPS), since the petition e r is working prior to 01.01.20 0 4, and therefo r e, he is entitled for the benefits u nder the OPS. 2. Learned counsel for the petitio n er submits that the petitioner h a ve made the r e presentation/legal notice date d 25.06.2026 (Annexure P-10), to respondent s No.1 to 4. However, the said l e gal notice has not been decided , as on date, w hich propelled him to file t h e instant writ petition, seek i ng mandamus, upon the respondents concerne d , to take apt steps.
