Prayer in the present writ p etition is for issuance of an appropria t e writ, order or direction, partic u larly a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents to con s ider the claim of the petitioner for prom o tion in accordance with the s e niority list dated 01.07.2017 (Annexur e P-5), in the light of the jud g ment passed by the Hon’ble Supreme C ourt in “ Registrar, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University versus Chairman and Managing Director, Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited ”, reported as 2019 ( 1 3) SCC 620, as well as the judgment dated 15.10.2025 (Annexure P -6) passed by the Hon’ble Supreme C ourt in “ C.S. Kandwal and Others versus University Grants Commission (UGC) and Others ”

Without expressing any opini o n on the merits of the claim raised by t he petitioner, and in view of the l i mited relief sought, the present writ petiti o n is disposed of with a direction to respondents to consider and decide th e representations dated 16.4.2026 ( Annexures P-7 and P-8) while keeping i n view the judgment passed by the H on’ble Supreme Court in C.S. Kandwal’s case (supra), by passing a sp e aking and reasoned order, in accordance with law, within a period of f our months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the e n titlement of the petitioner to t he claimed benefit, and the competen t authority shall take an independ e nt decision in accordance with the applic a ble rules and regulations.
