In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner for grant of arms/revolver license, in pursuance to the application vide acknowledgement receipt dated 17.04.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner under the provisions of the Arms (Amendment) Act, 2019.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that there is a serious and genuine threat perception to the life and liberty of the petitioner as such, the present writ petition be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the application vide acknowledgement receipt dated 17.04.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner for grant of arms license, in a time bound manner. Learned counsel further submits that even a representation dated 07.05.2026 (Annexure P-4) has also been submitted by the petitioner to respondent No.2.
