Seeking quashing of the order dated 07.06.2001 passed by respondent No.1 i.e. the Special Secretary to Government, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab, Chandigarh whereby the petitioner had been evicted from the land owned and possessed by him since 1965 allegedly got in the exchange with the Gram Panchayat, the instant petition has been filed.
None had been appearing on behalf of the petitioner whereupon notice was issued.
As per office report, the petitioner has expired.
It seems that the legal representatives of the petitioner may
not be interested in pursuing the case any further.
Dismissed for non-prosecution at this stage.
Liberty is, however, granted to the legal representatives of deceased Surjit Singh-petitioner, to move an appropriate application for revival of the present petition and to seek hearing of the same, if so advised.
