Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for quashing the letter dated 18.04.2026 (Annexure P-10) issued by respondent No.7 vide which request of the petitioner dated 07.04.2026 (P-9) for allowing her to continue in service till the age of 60 years, has been rejected in violation of Union Territory of Chandigarh (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2022 vide notification dated 29.03.2022 (P-5). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the proposal forwarded by the UT Administration, Chandigarh is pending consideration qua the relaxation in age and extending the service upto the age of 60 years, with the Central Government at this stage.
