The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.3 to 8.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already submitted representation dated 02.01.2026 (Annexure P-4) in this regard ventilating the grievances raised in the present petition, but no action has been taken thereon so far. He further submits that, at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the aforesaid representation in a time-bound manner and to take action in accordance with law.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Ferozepur, District Ferozepur, is directed to look into the representation dated 02.01.2026 (Annexure P-4) and decide the same, in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
