Jaspreet Kaur and Another Vs State of Punjab and Others

The prayer in the present petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, directing respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the private respondents and further direction to respondent Nos.1 to 3 not to taken any action on the instance/complaint of respondent Nos.4 to 9.

The learned State counsel submits that the statements of the private respondents have been recorded, wherein they have stated that they shall not interfere in the life and liberty of the petitioners. He submits that the petitioners themselves remain untraced.
