Similarly circumstanced co-accused Malkiat Singh, Deepak Sandhu, Teja Singh, Beant Singh and Balwinder Singh had already been granted interim anticipatory bail vide orders dated 09.01.2026 and 19.01.2026. By interim order dated 23.01.2026 the petitioners were directed to join investigation on or before 27.01.2026, with release on interim bail in the event of arrest subject to Section 482 (2) BNSS, failing which the interim order was to be deemed vacated. The petitioners joined investigation and fully cooperated; learned State counsel, on instructions from the Investigating Officer, affirmed this and stated that the petitioners were not required for further custodial interrogation. “Learned counse l submits that the name of the petitioners surfaced in the FIR based on the supplementary statement o f the complainant given on 11.12.2025, while the FIR was registered on 28.11.2025. Neither any over act nor a n y injury has been attributed to them. Similarly circumstanced co-accused, namely, Malkiat Singh, Deepak Sa n dhu, Teja Singh, Beant Singh and Balwinder Singh, hav e already been granted interim anticipatory bail by thi s Court vide orders dated 09.01.2026 and 19.01.2026. The petitioners are ready and willing to join the investig a tion as and when required by the investigating agency an d will cooperate. Notice of motion.

Meanwhile, the petitioners are directed to join the investigation on or before 27.01.2026. In the event of their arrest, they shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, subject to compliance of conditions as enshrined under Section 482 (2) BNSS.

Learned counsel submits that in pursuance of the aforementioned order, the petitioners have not only joined investigation but also fully cooperated with the investigating agency. He further submits that in case the investigating agency requires the petitioners to appear, they shall make themselves available without demur.

Learned State counsel on instructions from the Investigating Officer affirms the factum of joining the investigation by the petitioners and cooperating with the investigating agency. He also submits that at this stage, the petitioners are not required for further custodial interrogation.

In view of the above and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioners is allowed and the order dated 23.01.2026 granting interim bail to them, is hereby made absolute, subject to compliance of conditions as specified under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.

6. However, it is made clear that if the petitioners fail to join and cooperate with the investigating agency as and when required, the State would be at liberty to move an application for cancellation of the present anticipatory bail granted to them.
