On 22.05.2026, the following order was passed:-

“The prayer in the present petition under Section 528 BNSS, 2023 is for quashing of the order dated 12.10.2023 (Annexure P-4) passed by the JMIC, Hoshiarpur vide which the petitioner has been declared a proclaimed person in case FIR No.68 dated 03.06.2018 under Section 341, 323, 506, 379, 148 and 149 IPC registered at Police Station Bullowal, Distt. Hoshiarpur.

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the impugned order (Annexure P-4) has been passed in an illegal and arbitrary manner. The co-accused of the petitioner, namely, Sukhdev Singh faced Trial and was acquitted vide judgment dated 17.01.2025 passed by the JMIC, Hoshiarpur (Annexure P-2). The petitioner is ready and willing to join the proceedings once again.

The petitioner is directed to surrender before the Court of competent jurisdiction within a period of 04 weeks from today. He shall move an application to seek the concession of bail which shall be decided by the Trial Court on its own merits.”

In deference to the aforementioned order, the petitioner has surrendered before the Trial Court and has since been released on interim bail vide order dated 19.06.2026 passed by the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Hoshiarpur. A copy of the said order is taken on record and marked as Mark ‘A’. An amount of Rs.1,00,000/- stands deposited. A copy of the same is taken on record and marked as Mark ‘B’.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court.

It is expected that the petitioner shall not absent himself

from the Trial without sufficient cause.
