Th i s is the first petition under Se c tion 482 of the Bharatiya Nag a rik Suraksha Sanhi t a, 2023, for grant of anticipato r y bail to the petitioner in case F IR No. 27 dated 1 5 .02.2024, registered under Sect i ons 406, 420, 120-B IPC, at Po l ice Station Navi B a radari, District Police Commiss i onerate, Jalandhar. 2. Vi d e order dated 30.04.2025, inter i m anticipatory bail was grante d to the petitioners a nd their arrest was stayed till fu r ther orders, subject to their joi n ing the investigatio n . Thereafter, it was brought to the notice of this Court that t h ere were chances o f compromise between the parti e s and accordingly, vide order d a ted 16.02.2026, the matter was referred to the Medi a tion and Conciliation Centre. 3. Pu r suant to order dated 16.02.20 2 6, the parties appeared before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this C o urt and the dispute was amic a bly settled. agreed dates. B o th the parties, through their re s pective counsel, have stated be f ore this Court that the compromise has been vol u ntarily effected and the term s of settlement are binding upon them.

L e arned counsel for the complai n ant/respondent No.2, who is a lso present in Cour t , has stated that in view of the compromise, there is no objectio n to the grant of a n ticipatory bail to the petition e r; however, in case of defaul t in payment of the agreed installments, the compl a inant/respondent reserves the r i ght to seek appropr i ate remedy in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid submissi o ns and the compromise arrive d at between the pa r ties, the petitioners are ordered to be released on anticipatory b ail, subject to their furnishing adequate bail and su r ety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Inves t igating Officer and subject to t h e following conditions:-

i) they shall join investigation a s and when called upon to do s o ; ii) they shall not tamper w i th the prosecution evidence or in fl uence any witness; iii) they shall not leave the cou n try without prior permission of the Co u rt; and
