Instant petition has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 439 Cr.P.C.), for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, in case FIR No.15, dated 21.01.2026, under Sections 111, 111(2), 303(2) and 317(2) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding Sections 379, 411 IPC), registered at Police Station City Rampura, District Bathinda (Annexure P-1).

Since the petitioner is inside jail since 21.01.2026, and considering the antecedents referred to above, this Court is of the view that, at this stage, the petitioner does not deserve the concessional relief of bail.

However, it shall be open for the petitioner to file a fresh bail application after remaining in custody for a period of one year, in case the trial has not concluded by then.
