The petition under Section 528 of Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeks a direction to respondents to conduct fair and impartial inquiry in complaint dated 22.02.2026 and take necessary action, in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on 21.02.2026, private respondents trespassed into his house, physically assaulted his mother and caused her injuries. The incident was captured in the CCTV footage. Petitioner’s family was publicly humiliated through caste based abuses. A complaint was made to the official respondents but no action was taken.

Mr. Kunwarbir Singh, AAG Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that petitioner’s representation dated 22.02.2026 was received in the police station. Numerous times, petitioner was called but he failed to appear before the

concerned police officer, whereupon the representation was consigned.

Against this, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had repeatedly been visiting the police station and was in constant touch with the police of Police Post, Jagatpuri, Ludhiana, yet his representation was illegally consigned. He prays that the petition be considered as his representation and the official respondents be directed to take appropriate action.

Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to again decide representation dated 22.02.2026 (Annexure P2), in accordance with law, within a period of 1 month and take necessary action, if so required. Petitioner shall join the inquiry as and when required.

The petition stands disposed of.
