By w ay of the present petition the f o llowing prayer has been made:“ Contempt petition under S ection 12 of the Contempt o f Courts Act, 1971 for initiatin g appropriate proceedings unde r the Contempt of Court Act a g ainst the respondent and punis h him for willfully and deliber a tely disobeying the order date d 30.07.2024 passed by the D ivision Bench of this Hon’bl e Court in CWP No.2066/2018; National Anti Crime an d Human Rights Protection of I ndia Vs. State of Punjab & Ors . (Annexure P-1) vide which t h e State of Punjab was directe d to ensure that whenever a c o mplaint is made which reflect s commission of cognizable offence, an FIR ought to b e registered;

Any other order or direction which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case may kindly be passed.”
2. Notice of motion.
3. Mr. Gunjan Mehta, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State.
4. Learned State counsel, on telephonic instructions from Mr. Manpreet Singh, SSP, Pathankot and ASI Narinder Singh who is present in Court, submits that, considering the nature and impact of the injuries sustained by the petitioner, the matter needs to be re-examined and the needful shall be done within one week from today.
5. In view of the aforesaid stand of respondent the present petition is
disposed of.
6. Pending application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of as well.
