Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that both the parties are present in the Court and they have talked to each other and the parties have amicably agreed to settle their dispute in the following terms.

As per the agreement between the parties, petitioner Pritpal Singh will retain 77 sq. yards which was given to him by the respondent No.2-senior citizen and the said 77 sq. yards will not be claimed back from him under the impugned order dated 24.01.2024 (Annexure P-7) passed by the authorities exercising jurisdiction under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007.

In furtherance of the said amicable settlement, the property measuring 73 sq. yards, which was given to the petitioner by way of transfer, will revert back to the respondent No.2-senior citizen and senior citizen will be the owner of the said property measuring 73 sq. yards and it will be the jurisdiction of the respondent No.2-senior citizen to use the property as per his convenience and wishes.

Apart from the above, no other claim will be raised against each other by any of the parties.

Keeping in view the above, as per the settlement arrived at between the parties, the property given by the respondent No.2-senior citizen to the petitioner measuring 77 sq. yards will be kept by petitioner and will not revert back under the impugned order passed by the authorities envisaging jurisdiction under 2007 to the senior citizen and the property measuring 73 sq. yards given to the petitioner by the senior citizen, as directed by the authorities below exercising jurisdiction under 2007 Act, will revert back to the respondent No.2-senior citizen and will be entered in the name of the senior citizen by the authorities concerned so as to be treated as the property of the senior citizen for all intents and purposes and apart from this, there will be no other claim by any of the parties against each other.

The present writ petition is disposed of in above terms.
