Learned counsel for the peti t ioner submits that the elections of responden t No.5-Society should be co n ducted in a fair and transp a rent manner, i n accordance with the relevant rules and provisions of the Pu n jab Cooperati v e Societies Act, 1961. Therefo r e, necessary directions are req u ired to be issued to the respondents-authorities for carrying out videography o f the election pr o cess.

schedule cannot be complied with. Unless 4 weeks’ time are granted to the State-respondents to organize the videography of the election process, it would not be feasible for them to organize the necessary equipments for the same.

This Court has heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material on record.

It is true that no prayer on behalf of the petitioner was made on March 6, 2025 for videographing the election process, still to the mind of this Court, videography seems necessary to ensure free and fair election and set at rest various contentious issues which may arise later.

To the mind of this Court, there would be no impediment in carrying videography of the election process even though it is submitted by the learned State Counsel that the election process may need to be deferred by about 4 weeks, in the event such an order is passed.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that no allegations will be made against the State-respondents in the event the election process is carried out with proper arrangements for videography within a period of 4 weeks from today and the necessary costs of videography will be borne by him.

In the event the costs are deposited by the petitioner within a period of one week from today, the respondent-authorities would conduct the election of the Managing Committee of respondent No.5 within a period of 4 weeks from the date of deposit of such costs, after making necessary arrangement for the videography.

With the directions aforesaid CWP-5574-2025 is disposed of .

In view of the order passed in the main writ petition, CM-4180-CWP-2025 is disposed of in the same terms.
