In the light of the prevailing sensitive situation, the Lawyers are abstaining from work today i.e. 09.05.2025.

In the present writ petition, the grievance being raised by the petitioners is that the petitioners are not being paid the salary as per the Rules governing the service hence, keeping in view the judgment of this Court in CWP No.15896 of 2023 titled as Saurabh Sharma and others vs. State of Punjab and another, decided on 13.09.2024 (Annexure P-10) , which judgment has already been upheld by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide order dated 20.01.2025 (Annexure P-12), the respondents be directed to grant the petitioners the salary as admissible to them under the Rules governing the service.

From the pleadings, it transpires that the grievance being raised

Keeping in view the prayer of the petitioners, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents to decide the representation of the petitioners dated 24.01.2025 (Annexure P-15) by passing an appropriate speaking order in light of the judgment in Saurabh Sharma’s case (supra) within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and in case, after the decision any relief is to be extended to the petitioners, the same will be extended, otherwise due reasons will be mentioned in the speaking order to be passed for not accepting the claim of the petitioners for their information and necessary action.
