Counsel for the petitioners inter alia submits that petitioner No.1 an unmarried female aged about 20 years has performed marriage with petitioner No.2 a divorcee aged about 27 years on 02.01.2025 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6, who are related to petitioner No.1. The said private respondents have threatened to cause harm to the petitioners and in this regard, petitioners have given their representation dated 21.01.2025 (Annexure P-5) to the police authorities to safeguard their lives and liberty from the hands of private respondents but the police authorities have failed to take any action in this regard.
