Instant criminal writ petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No.2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from danger at the hands of respondents No.4 & 5 as the petitioners are living in a live-in-relationship against the wishes of respondents No.4 & 5.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ambala to consider and decide the representation dated 12.04.2025 (Annexure P-3) alleged to have been submitted by the petitioners seeking protection for their lives and personal liberty.

Accordingly, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and upon the relationship being maintained by the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ambala that if any such representation, as indicated above, is indeed pending consideration, it shall be dealt with expeditiously in accordance with law.
