Prayer in the present petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.01 dated 01.01.2025 under Sections 420/406 of IPC, 1860, registered at Police Station Division No.4, District Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar (Annexure P-1).

Vide order dated 13.02.2025, while granting interim protection, the petitioner was directed to join investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that earlier the matter was referred to the Mediation & Conciliation Centre but the same remained unsuccessful. He submits that the petitioner had advanced loan to the complainant and as security 4 cheques were given to the petitioner. He submits that as per allegations, complainant has transferred the amount in the account of one Manjeet Muni and he has not even been made an accused. He submits that prima facie no case as alleged against the petitioner is made out.

He further submits that in pursuance to the order 13.02.2025, passed by this Court, petitioner has joined the investigation and as such his interim bail may be made absolute.

Learned counsel for the complainant has opposed the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Ajmer Lal, has stated that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is no more required for further investigation.

In view of the above, interim order dated 13.02.2025 is made absolute subject to compliance of conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023. Petition stands allowed.
