On 12.03.2025, the following order was passed:-

Prayer is for quashing of order dated 29.04.2023 (Annexure P-4) passed by Judge Special Court, Gurdaspur whereby non-bailable warrants were issued against the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.0102 dated 14.12.2021 registered under Sections 21/22/29 of NDPS Act at P.S. Qadian, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter-alia submits that the default on behalf of the petitioner was on account of the fact that she was arrested in another case. Notice of motion for 15.05.2024.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

Petitioner is granted liberty to appear before the trial Court on the next date of hearing i.e. 08.04.2024.

In the meantime, operation of the impugned order dated 29.04.2023 (Annexure P-4) shall remain stayed.

The learned counsel for the State has apprised the Court that in deference to the aforementioned order, the petitioner has joined proceedings and is regularly appearing before the Trial Court.
