By order dated 27.11.2025 the Court issued notice of motion; Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab accepted notice for the respondent-State; the petitioner was directed to join the investigation on or before 09.12.2025 and, if arrested, to be released on interim bail subject to Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023, with a clarification that non-cooperation would vacate the interim order; matter adjourned to 16.12.2025. On 16.12.2025, SI Jaspal Singh, Investigating Officer, reported that the petitioner had joined the investigation and was not required for further custodial interrogation. Without expressing any opinion on the merits, the Court allowed the anticipatory bail petition and made the interim-bail order absolute, subject to Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023, while reserving to the State liberty to move for cancellation if the petitioner failed to join and cooperate with the investigating agency.

At the asking of t h e Court, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notic e on behalf of respondent-State. Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation on or before 0 9.12.2025. In the event of his arrest, he shall be relea s ed on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, subject to compliance of conditions as enshrined u nder Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.

However, it is clarified that if the petitioner does not join and cooperate with the Investigating Agency as required by the Arresting/Investigating Officer, this interim order shall be deemed to have been vacated. Adjourned to 16.12.2025.”

SI Jaspal Singh, Investigating Officer appears and states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and cooperating with the same. He also submits that at this stage, the petitioner is not required for further custodial interrogation.

In view of the above and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner is allowed and the order dated 27.11.2025 granting interim bail to him, is hereby made absolute, subject to compliance of conditions as specified under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.
