Report has since been received from learned District and Sessions Ju d ge, Tarn Taran, in pursuance to the directions of this Court where i n, the factum of the compromise arrived at between the parties sta n ds verified and confirmed. As per the report(s) compromise has indeed been effected bet w een the parties and the same is with o ut any pressure or coercion an d out of their free will and the private r espondents have also made st a tement to the effect that they would h ave no objection if the FIR qua the accused-petitioners is quashed.

In view of the report of the le a rned Additional Sessions Judge, Gurd a spur, and the principles laid d o wn by Hon’ble the Apex Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and others (2012) 10 SCC 303, and als o by the Full Bench of this Cour t in Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another, 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052 , the i n stant petition is allowed. Th e aforesaid FIR and all consequenti a l proceedings arising out of it, a r e quashed.
