The present petition has been filed for seeking quashing of FIR No. 730 dated 22.09.2016 registered under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station, Sector-7, Faridabad and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, Mr. Darpan Bansal, Advocate, PH/775/2024, Mobile No. 95666-89354, who is present in Court is appointed as Legal Aid Counsel to assist this Court on behalf of the petitioner.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondentcomplainant contends that the present petition has been rendered infructuous since upon conclusion of the investigation, a cancellation report had been filed by the Police. He further submits that even as per the reply filed by the respondents-State through Jaiveer Singh, HPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ballabgarh, District Faridabad, it has been stated in Para No. 8 that a cancellation report has already been submitted in the Court of Area Magistrate, Faridabad.

In view of the aforesaid undisputed position, the present petition has been disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. Parties, however, shall be at liberty to take all pleas before the Illaqa Magistrate where the cancellation report is stated to be pending and a protest petition is stated to have been filed.

A copy of this order be sent to the High Court Legal Services Committee for information and necessary action.
