The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for issuance of directions to the official respondents to conduct fair and impartial investigation in case FIR No.262 dated 25.11.2018 registered under Sections 323, 354-B, 148 & 149 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Sadar, Ferozepur.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

On receipt of advance copy of the petition, Mr. Adhiraj Singh, A.A.G., Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3, and on instructions from HC Paramjit Singh, submits that all the accused in the instant FIR had joined the investigation and thereafter, subsequent inquiry was held and cancellation report has been prepared which shall be filed before the Trial Court within a period of one weeks.

In this view of the matter, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedy before the Trial Court.
