On 08.08.2025, this Court had passed the following order:-

“Present: Mr.Vinod Chaudhri, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr.Prahlad Bhagat Vasudeva, Advocate for the respondents.

On 18.04.2023, a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court was pleased to pass the following order:-

"Learned counsel for the petitioners has filed an affidavit of petitioner No.1 in Court wherein it is stated that she would hand over the vacant possession of the premises on 31.03.2025. The affidavit is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.

Heard.

It view of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitoners to hand over the vacant possession of the premises on or before 31.03.2025. The petitioners would continue to pay rent as per the agreement

and shall also abide by all the terms and conditions as set out in the affidavit.

Pending application, if any, shall stand disposed of accordingly."

In spite of the above order and undertaking given, the respondents have not vacated the premises in question.

Learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions from respondent no.1-Raveena, has given undertaking that the premises in question would be vacated on or before 31.08.2025 and the keys would be handed over to the petitioners. Learned counsel for the respondents has further undertaken that rent upto 31.08.2025 would also be paid to the petitioners.

It is made clear that in case the possession is not given on or before the said date as undertaken before this Court, then apart from taking action under the Contempt of Courts Act, the respondents would also be liable to pay mesne profits for the illegal occupation of the premises after 31.03.2025. August 08, 2025”

Learned counsel for the respondents has submitted that they would hand over the key of the premises during the course of the day and would also hand over the cheque with respect to the rent due till date during the course of the day and has submitted that they would not claim any right over the property henceforth.

In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the respondents, the present contempt petition is disposed of.
