Prayer is for initiate contempt proceedings against the respondents for non-compliance of order dated 23.05.2024. The operative part thereof reads as under:-

“After hearing learned counsel for the parties, without going into the merits of the present petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, to forthwith consider the grievance raised by the petitioner in the aforesaid representation and take action thereupon as he/she deems fit, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.”

Today, compliance report by way of affidavit of Deepak Pareek IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar has been filed on behalf of the State. The same is taken on record. thereof has been appended as Annexure R-1/T alongwith the affidavit. On being asked as to where is the representation, counsel for the petitioner is at sea.

The totally misconceived contempt petition has been filed. Otherwise also, this Court does not find any reason to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondents in view of the fact that the investigation report has been placed on record and the allegations levelled by the petitioner has been thoroughly investigated.

In view of above, the present contempt petition is dismissed.
