Present contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of order date d 22.05.2023 (Annexure P-1) p a ssed by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court in CWP-36576-2019 titled as ‘ S eeshan Kumar and another vs. State of P u njab and others’, whereby it wa s directed as under:-

“7. Respondents are dire c ted to pay the salary to the petitioners at the rate of min i mum pay-scale attached to the post of Beldar on which t hey are working along with Dearness Allowance at th e rate being paid to other employees.

8. This order shall be a pplicable from the date this Dearness Allowance was withdrawn by the respondents.”

Learned Senior Counsel app e aring on behalf of respondents submits that the aforesaid directions sta n ds duly complied with as, not only the m inimum pay-scale and dearness allowance but also the amount in excess w hich is due to the petitioners has been paid to them which includes G rade Pay, Mobile Allowance, Medical Allowance, Washing Allowance etc., as is evident from the statement (Annexure R-3/3).

Learned Senior Counsel for t he petitioners has not disputed the afores a id facts, however, submits th a t the instant petition may be disposed of and in case of any discrepanc y , liberty may be granted to the petitioners to revive the present contempt p etition.

In view of the above, no fu r ther orders are required to be passed in t he present petition and the sa m e stands disposed of, with the liberty afo r esaid.
